Wet'n'Wild Rock Solid Nail lacquer in Pretty In Pink Diamonds

Natural "light", flash
Natural "light"

Note: Sorry for a "slightly used" look. I blame intensive hand washing and cold weather for this! :)

10 ml (0,33 oz), exp. date: 18 month after opening, "made in PRC" (i.e. The People's Republic of China)

I guess it's Toluen and Phthalate Free (contains Formaldehyde Resin!) like it's "sister" Pink Sapphire from the same collection. For some reason the list of ingredients is missing on this one, so I can't be sure. :/

Claims: "Infused with micro fine diamond flecks for rock solid strength and platinum performance."

Colour: pale orange with very fine golden shimmer-flecks. Have no idea how Wet'n'Wild guys came up with Pink Diamonds name! :)  It's not pink at all!

Finish: shimmer.

Application: pretty smooth application , but quite sheer. I usually apply 3 coats for a full coverage.

Retail price: 3,95 EUR (quite often Wet'n'Wild products are on "Buy 3 pay for 2" offer).

Pros: wearable shade, nice brush, pretty bottle (with a "diamond" on top!), good application.
Cons: sheer, list of ingredients is missing, smelly (!).

PS Can't wait for spring/summer? Put this shade on and pretend spring/summer is here! :)
PPS This polish is one of hubby's faves! :) Does that ring a bell? lol

What's your favourite orange nail polish?

  1. This is a great shade indeed for the upcoming summer, reminds me of sunset :)
I own a few WnW polishes, and I quite like them.

  2. It reminds me of sunset and autumn leaves actually, but I still think it's a great shade for a warm weather, or anytime you feel you can wear this beauty (btw, I wore it when it was -20C!). :)

Just added a question at the end of the post. :)

I have only 2 Wet'n'Wild polishes, but am tempted to get more from the same collection. Believe it or not, but I absolutely don't like the shape of their "square-rounded" bottles from the regular range, they're so bulky! :/ So I don't even bother checking those shades. :)

The only two things I don't like:

    1. These two are quite sheer.
    2. Once I wore Pink Sapphire for one week and after I removed the polish I discovered a "surprise" - yellow tint! For the first time in my live! Don't know if it was because of the Sally Hansen Fast drying top coat, but now I wear Wet'n'Wild for not more than 3 days just in case. What do you think could be the problem?

  3. Hi! You asked about how to order from Alima. I had totally forgotten that now European customers have to purchase through Femishop D: But! It's different with us Scandinavian people! I see that you're from Finland too? We can order through Alima's main site until the end of this year. So, no problem, and no need to use the European site. :)
